Ethics
We use Stanley/Stella t-shirt for our designs. They are a premium clothing brand that’s eco-friendly with a strong social responsibility policy. The products that aren’t organic cotton are made from recycled materials, and they believe in building a better future for all.
They’re an entirely ethical brand, with certifications in all the right places:
- GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard label. This super strict certification tracks the chain of production, from cotton farms through to the manufactured products being exported. It certifies that Stanley/Stella cotton is GMO-free, is grown without the use of chemicals, and is processed and dyed without using any banned toxic substances.
- GRS, the Global Recycled Standard label. This certifies that Stanley/Stella do indeed use recycled materials during manufacture: polyester, from plastic bottles, and cotton, from cutting waste. The label also guarantees that STanley/Stella comply with other social and environmental criteria. Things like treatment of waste water, the absence of toxic additives, and respect for working conditions in partner factories.
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100. This certifies the absence of harmful chemical substances in all Stanley/Stella products. The certification gives consumers confidence that any products with this label have been manufactured in a way that prioritises the prohibition of potentially harmful substances, the absence of chemical substances harmful to health and the environment, and a restriction on the lead content of dyes.
- Fair Wear Foundation. Stanley/Stella are a recognised member of the Fair Wear Foundation, an organisation working to improve workplace conditions in the garment and textile industry.
As an ethical print on demand supplier, Stanley/Stella’s ethical and social responsibility practices are a refreshing change of pace for Inkthreadable. Paired with our eco-friendly packaging, OEKO-TEX approved inks and waterless printing systems we can now confidently offer our customers an ethical and eco-friendly drop shipping service, right through from farm to delivery to your end user.
We think that’s amazing for the textile industry.
Guildan also has strong ethical principles and practices.
Packaging
Here at Arisingwave we aim to offer the best t-shirts and gifts at the best prices. We also want to do the best for the environment. We don’t want our packaging hanging around for years to come. That is why all our packages are plastic free.
This is what our printers said about the new plastic free packaging:
“The paper postal mailing bags are manufactured from responsible, sustainable sources to comply with FSC® certification. The paper is both compostable and degradable, and paper mailers can be easily recycled, making this an extremely eco-friendly option. The weather-proof parcel protects its contents as well as our old plastic mailing bags, and through testing we’ve found it holds its shape very well and arrives in a great condition.”

Printing
We also want our printing to be as ethical as possible. That is why all our printing is done in the UK. This means any UK order will not involve long and polluting journeys before you receive your item.
The inks used in the printing process are vegan and eco friendly meaning:
- No toxins in the ink.
- No animal by-products used to create the ink, and not tested on animals.
- Safe for use on products for both adults and children.
- OEKO-TEX® certified.
